Conventional Coring

Conventional coring has gained the reputation of just that, conventional. Through increasing tolerances, innovating connections and incorporating new age materials, Canamera has reinvented conventional coring. Our proprietary Canamera Core Barrels are part of this reinvention and combined with systems such as Jam Mitigating Inner barrels, conventional coring is anything but conventional.

While our Canamera 500 & 525 Series solves most problems from 5 7/8″ – 6 ¾” hole size, the Canamera 650 Series Barrel solves the problems in 7 7/8″ hole size and larger. With the highest torque capacity within the industry, the Canamera 650 Series Barrel can be run in configurations up to 1000 feet long, Canamera offers long barrel solutions.

Built to offshore standards and strong enough to be run over 1000 ft long, the Canamera line of core barrels is the standard-bearer for conventional coring systems. Compatible with multiple inner barrel configurations such as our One-On-Right liners, Aluminum Liners, Aluminum Inner Barrels, Jam Mitigation System (JMS®) and vented disposable aluminum, the Canamera Core Barrel can be configured to manage recovery from the most unconsolidated sands to the most fractured carbonates.

The Canamera 500 & 525 Series Core Barrels provide the largest diameter cores in the slimmest holes within the industry. Larger core means a stronger core. A stronger core means less jamming. Less jamming means a more efficient coring operation. The Canamera 500 & 525 barrels are just that: bigger, better and faster. 2 5/8″ core in 5 7/8″ hole is now 3″ and 3 ½” core is now available in 6″ and larger holes.
